“Gig Harbor is ready for these bed races,” said Dorothy Cozakos, Gig Harbor (Spiderman) team captain. “We are wrapping that bedpan trophy up in our web and bringing it back across the bridge, so watch out!”
“It will be a jolly holiday when Materials Management takes the prize home,” said Alex Walters, Materials Management (Mary Poppins) team member. “They’re going to need a spoon full of sugar to make their loss go down.”
Each team will race their Broadway-themed hospital gurney with one main character riding on board through three different obstacles: The crowd favorite Hula Hoop challenge, the extreme Bean Bag Toss, and a secret event that will be revealed to the teams on race day.
Supporters can purchase raffle tickets for their favorite team for $5 each. The winning team’s raffle tickets will be drawn for a prize – two tickets to any show in the 2011-2012 season at the Broadway Center for Performing Arts in Tacoma. All the proceeds will go towards the MultiCare Gives fund.
***Hope ya'll can tune in and watch the race and see all the costume and just how much fun it is to work for Multicare.***
